It is now possible to say that I am prepared to arrange for the custody of the inmates of the Berlin Foundling

House, Blindenheim and 'Ebenezer',

The proposal is (1) To remove the blind girls from 'Ebenezer' to Canton and place them under the direction of Dr.

M.W. Niles, who has charge of the Blind School on Fa-ti. For this service Dr. Niles needs a promise of $4840 per annum for five years (58 blind @ 66 dollars per annum, and about $1,000 a year for supervision and instruction).

(2) 60 blind, including industrial workers, to remain at Blindenheim, Kowloon. Miss Knap, herself blind, but thoroughly trained, and a graduate of an Amercian University, will take charge. Associated with her will be Miss

M.E. Daniels, now studying Chinese at Canton.

(3) Miss Chiles, with many years' experience in reformatory work before she came to China ten years ago, consents to take charge of the Berlin Foundling House with its 106 children. She will have Miss P.E, Weeks, a trained nurse, to help her.

(4) When the blind have been removed from 'Ebenezer', and the buildings have had necessary repairs and cleaning, the orphans of the Foundling House can be removed to 'Ebenezer'. This property, with that of Blindenheim, Kowloon, will need to beretained for the Housing of the orphans and blind.

Under this arrangement 58 blind will be removed from
